Up

A chilled cocktail served without ice, typically in a coupe or Martini glass.

'Up' means chilled and strained. It contrasts with 'on the rocks' (with ice) and 'neat' (unchilled). Whether a drink is served up or on the rocks changes both the temperature curve and the dilution over time — an up drink warms and dilutes only from the air.
