Splash

An imprecise small pour, roughly 1/4 oz or a bar-spoon's worth.

'A splash of soda' or 'a splash of vermouth' is the polite way to admit the exact quantity doesn't matter within a small range. Splash is fine on top of a highball; it is not fine as the whole recipe.
