A cocktail dominated by its base spirit, with little or no citrus.

Old Fashioneds, Manhattans, Martinis, Negronis: the spirit-forward category is stirred, undiluted by juice, and finishes above 20% ABV in the glass. These are the drinks that hold up as sipping cocktails and that hide flaws least.
